Privacy statement

Robo Charge offers a modern platform for EV users. Everything that happens around the use and management of charging points and charging tags is supported by the platform. This includes management, configuration, invoicing, reporting, etc. The platform continuously tests itself and the charging points in the network, so that any issues are discovered earlier and resolved automatically if possible. In short, it relieves you, so that you can focus on other matters.

In order to be able to help you properly at all times, we need information from you in some cases. We think it is important that you know that we handle your data carefully. That is why we explain in this privacy statement why and how we process your personal data.

1. Who are we?

We are Robo Charge B.V .: Dutch service provider for ev users, located at Kromsteeg 24, 5331AK in Kerkdriel, the Netherlands. Robo Charge is responsible for the collection and use of your personal data as described in this privacy statement.

2.1. General

We may collect and process the following categories of personal data

  • Name and other identifying information

For example, we can record your name, gender, date of birth, nationality and the country in which you live.

  • Contact details and details about your personal account or registration

Your contact details may include your address, telephone number and email address. If you register for a particular service and / or create an account in the Portal, we may also record the login details and other information that you enter on the account or registration form.

  • Information about your charging stations, charging tags and usage data

When you register a charging station or request a charging tag, we process this information. In addition, we process information about the use of the charging stations and regarding additional services and products that you purchase.

  • Our communication with you

If you send us an e-mail or chat with us via social media or online, we record this communication. When you call us, the Robo Charge Contact Center records your questions or complaints in our database. We may also record telephone conversations for training purposes, to record appointments or to prevent or combat fraud.

  • Information we collect when you use our websites, apps and other digital media

– When you visit our websites, portal or use our apps, we can record your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring website, surfing behavior and app use. We may receive an automatic notification when you open a newsletter or click on a link in such a newsletter.

– With your permission, we can also receive your location data.

  • Information you share with us

You can choose to share information with us, for example if you respond to us on Facebook, complete a customer survey or register for a competition.

Special and / or sensitive personal data that we process.

Our website and / or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors under the age of 16. Unless they have permission from their parents or guardian. However, we cannot check whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in the online activities of their children, in order to prevent data about children being collected without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal information about a minor without this permission, please contact us at arthur@robo-charge.com and we will delete this information.

For what purpose and on what basis we process personal data

Robo Charge processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Handling your payment
    (Robo Charge uses reliable external parties Mollie and Jorrt)
  • Sending our mailings
  • To be able to call or e-mail you if necessary to perform our services
  • To inform you about changes to our services and products
  • To offer you the option to create an account
  • To deliver goods to you.
  • To provide the services for you.

Automated decision making

Robo Charge makes decisions based on automated processing on matters that can have (significant) consequences for people. These are decisions taken by computer programs or systems, without involving a person (for example, an employee of Robo Charge). Robo Charge Portal controls the data flows, so that you can load into the network or that charging can be done through the network. To do this as effectively as possible, we need information about you.

How long do we keep personal data

Robo Charge does not store your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. We use the following retention periods for the following (categories) of personal data: Personal data that we receive after you have registered with us will keep for as long as you have an account with us. You have an account if you use a charge point or charge card agreement from Robo Charge. If the account is canceled, we wait 6 months before the data is deleted. This period is necessary because operators can still charge charging sessions up to 3 months after date. We store data via our social media channels for a maximum of 24 months. We store data that is registered via the website for a maximum of 48 months.

Sharing of personal data with third parties

Robo Charge will not sell your information to third parties and will only provide it if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. We conclude a processor agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Robo Charge remains responsible for these processing operations.

Cookies, or similar techniques, that we use

We use different types of cookies on the website and in Robo Charge’s apps. The use of the type of cookies can differ per app. Furthermore, a cookie can also have several purposes.

Necessary cookies:

these cookies are indispensable to be able to visit our websites and apps and to use certain parts of them. These cookies allow you, for example, to navigate between the different parts of the websites and apps, to fill in forms, to place orders and to keep track of the content of your shopping cart.

  • Analytical cookies: we use analytical cookies to collect information about the use that visitors make of our websites and apps (pages visited, average duration of the visit, …) with the aim of improving the content of our websites and apps, more to adapt to the wishes of the visitors and to increase the ease of use of our websites and apps.
  • Advertising cookies: advertising cookies collect information about your surfing behavior with the aim of offering you advertising or content that falls within your sphere of interest: Cookies for remarketing. The Robo Charge websites / apps use cookies that, based on the pages you visit on this website / app, keep track of which products or services you may be interested in.
  • Cookies for 3rd party content. In addition to the cookies that Robo Charge sets when you visit our websites, third parties may also set cookies when you visit Robo Charge sites. Our web pages may contain content from third parties, such as videos (Youtube), sound fragments (Soundcloud),… news content.

This processing is based on your consent. If you wish to withdraw your consent, you can do so via the cookie manager.

View, modify or delete data

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You can do this yourself via the personal settings of your account. You also have the right to withdraw your consent to the data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by our company and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data that we have about you in a computer file to you or another organization mentioned by you. If you wish to exercise your right of objection and / or right to data portability or if you have other questions / comments about data processing, please send a specified request to arthur@robo-charge.com.

To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, we ask you to enclose a copy of your ID with the request. Make your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN) black in this copy. This is to protect your privacy. Robo Charge will respond to your request as soon as possible, but in any case within four weeks. Robo Charge takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification.
